What is BizReef?

BizReef is a new online services marketplace that connects customers and freelancers.
BizReef gives freelancers the premier platform to do business and easily reach potential customers while giving the customers a guarantee of receiving high-quality service.

BizReef was launched in late 2007 by MeVideo LTD.
How can I contact BizReef?

What to do when I forgot or lost my password?

I made a deposit but the funds don’t reflect in my BizReef account.

There is a clearance period of up to 5 business days when you use PayPal Echeck. Inform us of any problems you encounter.
Is it safe to use my credit card?

Using your credit card on our site is safer than using it in a supermarket or ordering over the phone. We use the highest available encryption levels used by banks and other financial institutions.
How do I stop email alerts?

Alert preferences can be edited from Settings. If you want to change the fields in which you are informed of new projects posted to the site, go to Freelancer – Edit My Profile.
Does BizReef have an affiliate program for extra income on referrals?

How can I outsource my project through BizReef?

After creating an account you can publish a project that will be seen online. Freelancers interested in working for you will contact you, offering their services. You will choose the freelancer you wish to hire and decide how you want to communicate and process payments for the job. You can pay the freelancer directly or through BizReef either using our Escrow or transferring funds to other user’s account.
How do I post my project?

Click on ‘Post Your Project’ link on the main page. It will take you to New Project Page. Select project category, describe the job you offer in as much detail as possible, fill in all the required fields and click ‘Continue’.
What happens after I have posted my project?

Freelancers interested in having the job you offer will contact you through BizReef messaging system. You can continue communicating via BizReef or correspond directly. Please remember to cancel contacts you are not interested in pursuing.
How will I get offers only from professionals qualified to do the job I offer?

Be precise: describe in detail what has to be done and your expectations to the freelancer. The more information you provide about the job the better picture freelancers have if they are interested in it and have all the needed skills and qualifications.
Does it cost me anything to hire a freelancer through BizReef?

No, posting your project is free. Even when using the secure BizReef Escrow service, you are not paying anything extra.
How do I communicate with the freelancer?

You can use BizReef internal messaging system or any other method – email, IM, phones, even snail mail, if you wish.
I have already found the freelancer I want to work with, how can I contact him?

Every freelancer can be contacted directly from his profile: just click on the ‘Want to ask a question?’ button.
How do I pay for the work?

It’s up to you and the freelancer, you can use BizReef escrow, regular transfer via BizReef or pay directly. Using escrow is the safest way to pay for online services: when ordering the work, you deposit freelancer’s payment to your BizReef account and place it to escrow. Freelancer receives a confirmation about funds being escrowed; payment is released by you upon receiving the finished work or in partial payments. Should you not be interested in paying through escrow but don’t want to enclose personal financial information, you can process a direct payment through BizReef.
How can I deposit funds to my account?

You can use Credit Card, PayPal or Google Checkout for making a deposit. Simply log in to your account and go to Cashier – Deposit to see a list of available transaction methods. Some of the methods may not be available for all countries.
How do I put funds to escrow?

When you want to make a transfer to another user’s account and there are no funds in your account, clicking ‘Send a Payment’ will automatically take you to Cashier. You can deposit via Credit Card, PayPal or Google Checkout. If you want the payment to be sent through BizReef Escrow, check the ‘I want to use BizReef Escrow service’ box.
Can I release escrowed funds in several payments?

Yes, you can release partial payments.
How do I withdraw funds from my account?

Simply go to Cashier – Withdraw, select your preferred payment method, enter the sum and click on Submit Withdrawal. Withdrawals are released within 24 hours.
Can I transfer money to another user without a project?

Yes, if you don’t want to use escrow but do not wish to give out personal financial information, you can process the payment through BizReef.
What if wrong amount of money was escrowed or transferred to another account?

Please contact us and explain the situation. If needed, confirmation from the freelancer will be requested before corrections are made.
What are the benefits of using the escrow system?

You can be sure to receive the ordered service – satisfaction is guaranteed and transactions with the freelancers risk-free. Your payment is held in Escrow and released only upon your approval of the delivered work. In case of disagreement projects paid through Escrow can be brought to arbitration to be reviewed by BizReef Team.
Should I make advance payments?

We recommend using BizReef escrow and releasing parts of funds when agreed milestones are reached and not to pay in advance. There is no option to refund released payments.
How do I cancel an Escrow payment?

Please contact BizReef at support@bizreef.com and describe the situation. If needed, confirmation from the freelancer will be requested before escrow release.
What is the ‘Days Open for Bidding’ field for?

You decide for how many days the project is published on the site and open for bidding. This shows the freelancers how much time is left for bidding on your project. The project is automatically removed from the site when the bidding period expires but you can extend it.
Why do I have to set a number of offers I wish to receive?

You can request up to 5 offers when posting your project. If you don’t find the person you wish to hire from among the 5 first offers, you can request additional offers.
How to I edit or remove my project?

Go to Activity – Projects I Posted – View to make any changes you wish. When you hire a freelancer and pay directly, please remove the project from the site. It’s removed automatically when you hire someone through BizReef or bidding period expires. Project details such as number of bids you wish to receive, bidding period or budget range can be edited at any time.
Who rates the Freelancers?

Freelancers are rated by customers who have worked with them.
Can I advertise my own freelance services and order what I need from the site at the same time?

Yes.

How do I advertise my services on BizReef?

You can use BizReef for marketing your services by publishing a BizReef profile and service profiles. Profiles are seen online by every Internet user.
What is a BizReef profile?

Your BizReef profile gives information about you, shows all ratings and comments you have received on the site and includes links to all of your services.
What is a service profile?

Service profile is your profile for a particular service where you can describe your qualifications and experience in this field, upload relevant work samples and set the price for this specific service.
Can I have more than one service profile?

Yes. You can publish your services in every category you find to be relevant to your skills. These profiles are listed in service categories that the customers browse so having a profile in more than one category increases your chances of being noticed and contacted.
Are there any fees for listing my profile?

No, publishing your profile and listing services is free.
I can’t edit all the fields in the service form.

Can I advertise my BizReef service elsewhere?

You are most welcome to do so, we recommend Google Adwords and Yahoo! Overture. If you have a website or a blog, you can put up links to your BizReef profile. Have a look at Freelancer – Self Marketing Tools to see what we have prepared for you.
How does the Escrow work?

The customer deposits the payment and places it to Escrow as guarantee before you start working. Payment is released upon customer’s approval of the completed work. Escrowed funds can be recalled only through BizReef Team, in case of disagreement either side can initiate arbitration.
How much is the commission for each project?

The commission for each project completed through BizReef Escrow is 8.9% of the project budget. When funds are transferred to your account without Escrow, commission is 6.9%. There is no commission when you are paid directly.
How do I offer my services to a customer who has published a project?

Click on ‘Contact Customer’ on the project page and send a message.
What is the contact fee?

BizReef works on pay per lead principle. You are charged a small one-time fee for establishing contact with the customer. Once you are in touch with the customer, you can communicate and transfer funds however you wish – via BizReef or any other method.
Why is the contact fee different for every project?

Contact fee for a project depends of a number of factors such as budget range and number of offers this project can receive.
What if the ‘Contact Customer’ button on project details page doesn’t seem to be working?

Please check status of the project. The customer can not be contacted when his project has received the maximum number of requested offers or appears in status ‘In Work’ (another freelancer has been hired) or ‘Unpublished’ (bidding period has expired).
How do I deposit funds to my account?

Go to Cashier – Deposit and choose the payment method you prefer. BizReef supports Credit Cards, PayPal and Google Checkout. Please note that some of the methods may not be available for all countries.
How do I withdraw funds from my account?

Go to Cashier – Withdraw and choose the payment method you prefer.
Why do I see my withdrawal as ‘Pending’?

Withdrawals are released after a review within 10 business days. During this period you see the status of your withdrawal ‘Pending’.
