Graduated in electrical engineering (1966); further training/education in electrical, electronic & mechanical engineering, methodical design, patent practice & law, economics & marketing and literature searching.
Currently, I am a senior patent practitioner having more than 30 years experience in patent drafting and prosecution within several companies in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, ICT, manufacturing techniques, military applications, plastics, surface treatment, process engineering, automotive, medical engineering, biotechnical engineering, textile, avionics etc.
In those 30+ years I drafted and filed many hundreds of patent applications in Dutch (NL) as well as in English (EP/PCT). Moreover as an “Authorized Employee” (EP/PCT) I dealt with the prosecution of those patent applications incl. Office Actions, Written and Oral Proceedings etc. before the EPO.
Professional memberships: Dutch Association for Patent Information (WON), Licensing Executive Society (LES), VNO/NCW Committee on Patents and the Internet, Dutch Inventors Association (NOVU), Dutch Patent Guild.
On a freelance basis I counselled several SME/SMB clients and/or drafted patent applications for them. Moreover, I translated numerous technical documents, especially (EP/PCT) patent applications, from English/German/French into Dutch, for some international translation agencies.
